Executive Team

Mike is president of IMA’s Kansas City office.  He is charged with growing IMA’s market share of employee benefits insurance, property and casualty insurance and surety in Kansas City and the surrounding area.  Mike is a proven leader with experience in corporate expansions, start-ups and acquisitions in the insurance industry. His financial, marketing and operational skills contribute to a high level of client satisfaction as well as bottom-line results. 
 
Prior to joining IMA in 2011, Mike was senior vice president and construction practice group leader for a large regional broker in the Midwest.  He also most recently served in management roles with several regional and national brokers. Mike began his insurance career in 1981.  He holds an MBA from Baker University and a bachelor’s of science degree from Kansas State University. 
 
Business and community involvement are very important to Mike.  He is a member of the RIMS Kansas City chapter.  He is on the board of directors for Turning Point: The Center for Hope and Healing as well as Amazima Missions International.  Mike serves on the strategic planning committee for Hallbrook Country Club.
