The IMA Financial Group has grown and prospered over the years to include 475 associates with offices in Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Kansas City, KS; San Antonio, TX; Topeka, KS and Wichita, KS. The following timeline is an overview of our history:
| 1932 | Paul Yankey Co. formed |
| 1933 | Joe Moddrell Agency founded |
| 1937 | W.C. Cohen Insurance formed |
| 1946 | Cohen-Steenrod Agency formed |
| 1973 | IMA Partnership formed (Yankey Co., Moddrell Agency and Cohen-Steenrod) |
| 1974 | Partnership dissolved; IMA formed |
| 1981 | Topeka office opened |
| 1982 | Alexander & Alexander of Kansas purchased; Harris Burns is purchased |
| 1988 | Carsen & Evans purchased; Denver office is opened |
| 1992 | IMA reorganizes into IMA of Colorado, IMA of Topeka and IMA of Wichita |
| 1992 | Glendale Agency is acquired |
| 1997 | ERA - Energy Risk Associates- in Dallas, TX is formed |
| 1999 | TrueNorth is created |
| 2000 | IMA reorganizes under IMA Financial Group, Inc. |
| 2001 | TrueNorth Securities is formed |
| 2003 | IMA opened office in Kansas City |
| 2005 | IMA opened office in Dallas |
| 2008 | Assets and employees of PWIB Texas are acquired and are merged with Energy Risk Associates to form Towerstone, Inc. |
| 2009 | Signature Select LLC is formed |
