Patrick Lanning joined IMA in 2007 and is president of IMA’s Property & Casualty division. Patrick’s 20+ years of risk management experience offers clients a dedication to solution-oriented service.

Based in our Kansas City office, Patrick brings a strong background in marketing and designing insurance programs that bring value to his clients. While he has mainly focused on the brokerage side of the business, he has also worked as an underwriter for a national insurance carrier.

Additionally, he has worked with several national contractors managing their insurance needs.

Patrick is also one of IMA’s resident experts on Controlled Insurance Programs, or Wrap-Up Insurance, for large construction projects that require many layers of contractors and subcontractors. He also helps clients design and implement Owner Controlled Insurance Programs and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs.

Patrick graduated from the University of Missouri of Kansas City with a bachelor’s in business administration. He is involved in coaching youth sports and serves as a United Way Campaign Member.
